Pipsqueak:
Ran repairs in safe mode, didn't fix the issue. Thankfully it didn't cause any either.
Running a chkdsk now, will have the logs of the repairs up soonTM.

I am seeing a lot of odd file not found errors for things that should be on every system.

Like repairing your hosts file

You have bad sectors, your drive is bad and the files are getting corrupt. It is time to replace the drive, get your stuff backed up to another drive as soon as you can :wink:
