Re: Computer Slow Boot Up[Solved]
Samson:
So you have decided what to keep (bear in mind that they all steal seconds off your boot time).
But what about the other things?
Is quick/ fast boot enabled in your BIOS?
Is your HDD set as the first boot device?
Disabling unused hardware, such as unused ports can help too.
The aggregation of marginal gains and all that.
And.
Disable ctfmon.exe
See 2a here...

Sorry my first report through Bootvis wasn't uploaded as it may have excedeed max size allowed, having over 100mb,therefore ill post a printscreen of it
Samson:
As a comparison here is mine for a 1.2GHz Celeron with 512MB RAM (100MHz), 40GB IDE HDD, a real dinosaur of a machine, but you can see how quickly it boots with uneeded services and hardware disabled, faster than I thought, less than 24 seconds
dondon:
I disabled all start up items, startup speed improvment,0.07s,report attached to the post
Samson:
Run chkdsk c: /r on the system to check for bad sectors on the HDD.
I am unsure why there is no "Prefetching" listed on your report.
