windows updates packages are corrupt (SOLVED)
stinkoman247:
Yep, its a driver problem.
Shane:
OK so go to the device manager and go to IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers.
Any item that is shown to be intel, open it, go to the driver tab and see if you have a rollback option (If it is using the intel driver) and this should roll it back to the microsoft driver. If it is already microsoft driver then we need to hunt down the newest drivers from intels web site.

Hi, Shane i think that it is new find in the confusing cat mum updation.
you could incorporate the same in your article on window updates. It will help so many, who has the window updates error problem.
Why intel updated drivers does not work correctly. If suppose, there is no option to roll back or it is greyed then, this problem would not be fixed. Intel drivers nowadays, are not digitally signed and gives alert while installing the same.
Normally updated drivers give solution to the drivers problem. But i found that INTEL is lacking on this. Did the driver try to block the updates. Then why Blocking was resorted to Intel. Is it a security feature or security failure. Security failure means that it does not allow window updates, which give security updates on the vulnerabilities.
Shane:
Awesome that you are working now :-)
Can you check and see if there was anything at all in the event viewer when it wasnt working? I am wondering if I can find a way to scan or look for symptoms that match this and have the program tell the user about the drivers. I have been seeing this alot lately for some reason.
