Unable to create Restore Points

Ill run my anti malware programs, then uninstall and re-install the Microsoft Essentials. By the way....I came across an article on the net with exactly this issue which was down to having a program called My Lockbox installed: the driver caused the BSOD problem. I'll double check this as well, as I have My Lockbox installed and the version is rather old. I'll be back online tomorrow. Journstyx

OK, just before getting to sleep; ran anti malware. 6 threats found (all Pop.Optional. Spigot) in the various browsers. Have uninstalled ME and installed it again. Will be back tomorrow. Journstyx

OK, it seems my BSOD are gone and it was indeed My Lockbox's drivers causing the issue....so what else can be done about the restore points? Any further suggestions?

You said you had 10 writers I think 9 should be the normal amount can you post what vssadmin list writers. Gives back to you
