(SOLVED) Windows 10 "Device xxx requires further installation"

<< < (2/3) > >>

rkbren:
According to the site you gave, the "Device xxx requires further installation"  message doesn't mean anything because it's not the latest message listed in Events. The site also says that everything's OK if there's a "device installed" entry. In my case, there were no "device installed" messages in Events for any driver. However, there was always a "device migrated" message which I guess means everything's fine. In any case, I've marked the thread "Solved". Thanks again.

Boggin:
I guess "migrated" could mean it is installed and you don't always get the exact messages in some cases as articles show.

As long as you are satisfied but it would annoy me to hell to have that error showing :)

rkbren:
Yeah, it doesn't make me feel all warm and toasty either. I wish Microsoft would at least post something searchable about things like this, but I guess that's asking too much.

Boggin:
Perhaps after Threshold2 - the proposed major update due in October may resolve a lot of problems.

rkbren:
I've "upvoted" feedback regarding this issue someone left about a Miracast driver. Let's hope Microsoft takes some action.
