James:
Hello again maxXPsoft: Looks cool to me, but what do I know anyway!! I always do searches and ask questions like that on my own and others thoughts about computer program problems.

Am sort of getting the general feeling that this is an important matter that Shane will be very interested in, so you thoughts and time should be greatly appreciated by him and perhaps many future viewers of these forums on this subject.

BTW, how is this process enable a repair in you estimation? Thanks so much for your contribution! James

Samson:
That will simply reset the Task Scheduler service to default start up type, ie automatic. You can check in services to see if Task Scheduler is set to start automatically.

Click Start
Type services.msc
Find Task Scheduler in the list of services
Be sure that it is Started and Set to Automatic Startup

However your problem is due to scheduled tasks being messed/ corrupted in some way.

The thread I linked points to the solution, but for 100% confirmation wait for Shane's approval or maybe Julian or Boggin will step in and advise.

Here is the link to that thread for reference...

James:
Yup, I have been around for a good while.

All good intentions are most certainly appreciated, while waiting for Shane to pass on these great subjects.

It is his program(s) being affected, so even the least amount of respect & courtesy is due to him in the first instance.

To to be sure, in my opinion anyway. Enough said, with all due respect to all, Jim

Samson:
In the meantime Jim, just run a daily manual registry backup.....I'm sure that you are anyway
