Hi,
What this error means. I am having unidentified network problem , if i choose auto detect settings in ip4 adapter settings.
Now, i try ping command and the result is the topic subject.
Why it is so, and how to resolve it.
Now i am having internet access, using the following ips. Pl reply

Boggin:
When you open Network and Sharing Center, what is it showing as - Home, Work or Public ?

jraju:
public. But if i change the use following address, it changes to home. But still ping fails.
Update: if i change to old modem, which is not having wifi, only bb, the ping pass to the same gateway.

Boggin:
Change it to Work on the WiFi one and then try the ping.

Are you still unable to log into the router even when having an Internet connection ?

jraju:
Hi,
I have copied the router settings.
I could not do anything in the absence of internet, which failed totally. I could not log in to router page. then i surfed the net using the old modem which works, with its configuration'
i used ipconfig/flushdns,release, renew commands. Release command failed . again, i tried ipconfig/registerdns.
when i reset the router, there is no other go in this model, you have to go to the router page to establish connection.
Even without internet ping command worked after reset.
once, i registered the dns using ipconfig/registerdns, i was able to log in to router page, i have already had the settings. I just tried on each page and then saved .Now the internet is back and am replying.
what those commands do please tell.
The problem is with wifi settings or some i do not know.
i received one redirect from BSNL mail in page and then i had this problem. The popup suddenly changed the total settings, that i could not log in to router.
Reset default , erases the router wifi password, and broadband password.
