Boggin:
Does the laptop support site have an updated driver for it ?

Not sure if trying your restore points to prior this happening would help, but had you downloaded anything prior to this occurring that may have inserted itself into the Startup menu in msconfig.

A clean boot may help to identify if there is a contributing factor.

Did this start to occur following this month's Windows Updates, as they can cause anomalous problems for some.

I have the current software and driver.
Tried the restore points no difference.
It is not needed right now so I am just leaving it off.

Thanks for all the suggestion

Boggin:
Okay - sorry none of them worked out.
