upgrade the HHD to a SSD problems

When I try and use  msinfo32 it comes back with " Can't collect info"
SFC still finds corrupt files - just ran it again
trend uninstalled

I'm not sure what those Base System Devices refer to but as sfc is still reporting corruption but not showing in your last CBS log, can you run SFCFix.exe which is a 3rd party program and post its report.

You haven't said if you'd managed to upgrade to 8.1.

Can you right click on those System Base Devices and select Update Driver Software then select to search auto.

Windows may find drivers for them.

Tried to find drivers for the Base devices - windows (in Auto) said nil to find.
Ran SFC fix - came back and said no errors found.
I haven't successfully upgraded to 8.1 yet - I'll try now.
