YouTube on Microsoft Edge
Boggin:
It did eventually but it was just showing a black screen with a busy circle on it for a while.
This should be default checked in Edge but click on the tools dots top right then scroll down to and click on Advanced settings to see if Flash Player is turned on.
jpmackay:
Yes and just checked to see if Adobe Flash is on in advanced settings of Microsoft Edge. Now I have heard that Adobe Flash doesn't work very well with the browsers. Is that true about this. And do you think that even Adobe Flash is on but still have the problem. Should I download the latest version of Adobe Flash?
John
Boggin:
You can't download Flash for Win 10 as it's part of the OS which you will find when you go to www.adobe.com
Have you had this month's updates - that includes one for Flash Player.
Do you have the free version of CCleaner installed to clear the cache ?
I'll have a look around on Google to see if anyone else has had problems with YT in Edge.
Boggin:
Ah - you don't need to use CCleaner, there's an option in Settings to clear the browser data - give that a try.
EDIT - not advanced - just Settings.
Boggin:
If they still don't play after clearing the browser data, I think the only thing you won't have tried is downloading an update for an AMD graphics driver, if you are using AMD.
When you opt for the express install, it tends to just install a later CCC which I think is what is being referred to in a couple of the Google links I've come across - otherwise I don't have any other ideas except to use a different browser to watch YT vids.
