Network Problem
drselz:
I am getting error 0x80070035 when attempting to share files/folders on my server with my laptop work station. I am running Win 10 64bit ver. 1703 build 16281 on both. I can share folders on the laptop with the server. I've tried everything, net adapter reset, network tweak, resetting network shares, Windows troubleshooter, turn off firewall and antivirus. Any suggestions???
Julian:
let me make sure i have this correct before i proceed with an answer. do you want to pull files off your laptop or your server? which one is having the issue with the shared folders?
Boggin:
That's an Insider build which could be the cause of the problem.
How do you fare with the normal 1703.15063.540 build ?
drselz:
I am able to pull files off the laptop to the server, but unable to pull files from the server to the laptop. When I run Diagnose the wireless connection on the laptop, it comes up with a report that network path not found!
Boggin:
Not sure if this will help - go Start - type ncpa.cpl and press enter when it comes up as a Control Panel item.
Right click on the adapter you are using and select Properties - (TCP/IPv4) - Properties - Advanced - Wins tab and check the button for Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP - OK
Probably best to reboot the laptop and try again.
If ncpa.cpl doesn't come up as a Control Panel item and just as a Cortana search list, go to Control Panel/All Control Panel Items and select Network and Sharing Center - click on the active connection then Properties - (TCP/IPv4) and do the same.
