after using Tweaking/Repair = permissions / delay connecting to internet
KR:
already did that - no remnands left anywhere of WsDrvInst or Videosoft or Videosoft-CNet. I had this program 1/2 a year ago, didn't like it and completely removed it then and never had a problem. The two remnants I found today in registry I removed and there is nothing left. I checked twice ... I used find / find nect in registry ... until nothing else could be found.
So - I guess it can't be that ... one improvement though-now Webroot is present / active by itself at/after startup - no more permission neccessary.
However the delay/drak screen/ectra 40 seconds still persists.
I also have my services documented in an excell document - to go back to if I mess up or something changes - all is as always
thanks so far boggin - please don't give up ...
PS: someone at Microsoft forum suggested a clean boot - to turn off Webroot - to see if the delay persists - but it's a lengthy procedure - especially if I wanted to go through all the services to see if one does it. But again - my services are all as always

Boggin:
You would start by disabling all items under the Startup tab and see what it's like after the reboot.
Under the Services tab, check the box to Hide all Microsoft services then note which ones are showing as running before hitting Disable all, but an AV program can reinstate itself when you hit the Apply button - you can check that before the Restart but as you've already tried with Webroot disabled, then it probably isn't that.
I think I have about 13 non-MS services in my Win 7.
Have you checked Event Viewer again to see if there are any new errors listed ?
KR:
Hi Boggin,
sorry about the delay
- please see attachment of my startup items in Ccleaner - minimal-always worked like that
- I checked Event Viewer:
I have a custom "Administrative Events" and "Boot Time":
NOTHING anymore in AdminEvents (Error7000/7009 gone!!)
but ... still almost 70 seconds in boot time...?? normally 20 sec.
I'll wait a bit for a possible response and will later go through the clean boot procedure
KR:
sorry - amendmant:
I just restarted again to make sure: now error 11
please see attachment

Hi Boggin,
I have to apoligize - I scheduled a Chkdsk and forgot about it / or didn't click Y for yes - that was the reason for Erro 11 - disk.
I have to take a brake - will do the clean boot tonight and post agai tomorrow
Thanks for now
just to confirm:
- webroot loads at startup - no more permission - = good
- chkdsk = all good
- sfc scannow = all good
- NO errors
but boot time app 70 sec.
if you are off for Christmas - Merry Christmas - I'll post tomorrow hopung the ticket will not expire
Cheers - thanks for your time
