Conflicts

wingingit2:
I have an Asus X550CA Lap Top. It does not have bluetooth. I purchased an Asus Bluetooth Adapter and it has a conflict wit the keyboard, some keys don't work. Device manger shows it working properly. Device manger also shows only coms 3 &4 in use for bluetooth. No mention of other com ports. When trying to connect to my bluetooth OBD II it gets an error no network found. I don't think it is the interface software or hardware becaust it works on a different laptop.

Any Suggestions??

Thanks in advance

Does Event Viewer show any errors for when you have this adapter plugged in ?

Open a Command Prompt and enter netsh interface ipv4 show interfaces to see if the Bluetooth shows up as connected.

I don't know what an OBD II is.

Boggin:
If this is a Win 10 machine you are using then do a manual check for updates which should find KB4458469 which addresses a Bluetooth issue, but not sure if it will apply to your problem.

I seem to have a few conflicts going on so I am doing a recovery that re-installs a new copy of Win 10. This lap top always seemed slow from day one.

Boggin:
If you do a Reset then your personal stuff will be retained so you will just have to reinstall any programs afresh, which should clean things up.
