Ram is very cheap, doing both would be worth it. get xp to 2Gb of ram and vista to 2 or 3 GB if it is 32bit and 4gb if it is 64 bit.

Of course make sure you buy the right memory type :wink:

Hi Shane looking at the mini monitor while doing a memory & cache clean the cache has the best effect.

I tried to reset from 15 minutes to 5 on Vista but i can't find the feature to change?

Shane:
You just edit the job in the task scheduler :wink:

Hi Shane hope you had a great Christmas and New Year.

I know you have said that this application shouldn't actually speed up, but with the XP machine i used the update (1.9.3) ALL IN ONE REPAIR & TWEAKS and again it quickened (even on the internet + dial up) up the computer for awhile, but then has slowed again.

I noticed with a closer look there are a lot of "failed" i some of them.

Thank again

Shane:
Some will fail, but unless you have a ton its nothing to worry about.

The tweaks should do the speed up. Also I have a tweak I amd adding to the windows repair that will help with system resources.

Try it yourself and see.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management]
"PagedPoolSize"=dword:ffffffff
"PoolUsageMaximum"=dword:00000060

What I have seen on only a few systems is the permission repairs will run out of system resources and the rest of the repairs fail. This reg tweak increase the system resources and fixes that problem. So the next version will apply these by default. That means the tweak will help any program having resource problems.
