[Fixed] Shared Icon On Files After Running Reset File Permissions Repair

Merry Christmas to you to.

I may have this somewhat figured out. If you right click on documents for an example, properties, security tab then click advanced. Now under the permissions tab you will see administrators, system, everyone etc. they will have an inherited from entry. What I found was duplicate administrators, system and on and on, but under the inherited entry it will say not inherited. If you delete these. The shared icon goes away. The problem with this is, you have to do this with each folder....ouch! Need to find a way to do this in one fail swoop.

So it is permissions related! Outstanding. :cheesy:
Ok making a program to fix it will be easy.
Can you post a screen shot showing what you described for me?

I'm embarrassed to ask....how do you post a screen shot. I know I'm a little behind the times...lol. I don't even facebook or tweet (can't believe I just used that word). A quick tutorial would be great.

Shane:
Open the window you want, then hold the right alt button then the prtsnc button. The right alt tells the prtscn to capture only that window and the the full screen.
Then open paint, go to edit then paste. Say it as a jpg and when posing you will see attach at the bottom
