Beta Repair System Restore
Shane:
--- Quote ---Hi there
Ok so I'm using your great program and glad to see your trying to fix the system restore
I have been having problems with this dam thing now for weeks and Microsoft is not at all concerned if it works
I'm currently using a program called RollbackRx because system restore is so unreliable
I have tried using your beta fix but it's no good it just will not work
if I use RollbackrRX and go back lets say a week or so The system restore will work
then within a day or so I try to do a system restore and it's knackered again any ideas ?
as I said earlier I tried your beta repair but it just won't fix it
and I know for a fact there are at least 6 restore points there I made from yesterday when it was working
I booted puter this morning and the system restore isn't working again (it says no restore points have been created etc)
I will try to work with you by answering any questions you have in tryin to get your program to fix it
cheers

I still haven't been able to find any more information what so ever on what System Restore needs. But I have confirmed that system restore is different on each version of Windows. Every version of Windows they have changed System restore and what it needs and uses. But MS wont list any information about it.
Normally any errors int he event viewer have very little info in them on why it had trouble. Do you have any errors in the event viewer?

erm it shows 5,681 here's a small screenshot
Net Framework 4 has never installed properly no matter what I try
perhaps this is causing the problem ?

Shane:
The only way to get .net working again is to fully remove it and reinstall it.
This tool will do the removing for you :-)
Do that, reboot and then install .net again.
