Run the update: Firewall repaired but now updates not working

Can you advise... My windows updates were working okay... (I had a problem recently but managed to get them working and up to dater.. but the Firewall wasn't.. I ran the software... and foolishly left the windows update box ticked... now the Firewall works fine.. but the updates have stopped and won't start.. but when I go to Services it says updates are working... can you advise?

Never heard of that problem before. What is the error you get when you try to do Windows updates? Can you post a screen shot of the error?

I have looked online but don't seem to be able to find a solution.. including the Microsoft 'Fix it'

Did you try running all my repairs in the repair program? If not you should.

A lot of times as well the error could be from not having permissions or MSI not working. My repairs cover all those bases. No files are deleted or added so just make sure to do a reg backup with my program and you can restore the registry if anything goes wrong :wink:
