Tweaking.com Support & Help / Re: Tweaking.com creating a dmp file each day!

Then size is not contributing to the two issues I have on my PC.
I hope someone can figure this out.

If I open the location that my backups are being saved, the size is 206 MB (216,522,595 bytes). This is much larger than the registry backup that Erunt saved. I have no problem with it as long as it is doing what it is supposed to do, I'm just wondering if the dmp files and Event Viewer errors have anything to do with this or not.

Yes it is, however, the backup file is much much larger than the backup file was, when I was using Erunt to do automatic registry backups.
Does Tweaking registry backup, backup more than just the registry? Or is this very large file size an indication of a problem?

Tweaking.com Support & Help / Tweaking.com creating a dmp file each day!
« on: September 25, 2019, 05:55:42 pm »
I am using Tweaking.com to automatically run a Registry backup each day when the computer boots up in the morning.
It appears to be working just fine, however, I find a bunch of dmp files each week. (ie. C:\Windows\SysWOW64\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\CrashDumps\TweakingRegistryBackup.exe(1).14420.dmp).
I don't know why it's doing this.
Could it have anything to do with the Event Viewer errors that I find several times a day under Applications?

Sorry to be dense. But are you saying that the Tweaking.com - Windows Repair Free/Pro program will fix my Event Viewer error messages?
By the way, I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling Tweaking.com Registry backup but for some unknown reason, I could not get it to run a scheduled daily backup so I had to run a backup image of the mornings computer backup to get the original registry backup program back and running.
Not sure what I either did right (by accident) to get the program to work the first time I tried or what I did wrong when I tried to rebuild the schedule after the reinstall.
All I wanted was to have the backup program run each day (7 days a week) when I boot up the computer in the morning and save a registry backup...and not do more than one backup per day in case I had to reboot during the day.
I guess by shear luck, I did it the first time, but couldn't duplicate it when I reinstalled the program.
So, although the backup is working again, I am still seeing the event viewer errors that I mentioned earlier.
Getting a little frustrated but will continue to try to get these error messages fixed.

Not sure what you are referring to.....Are you using the standalone back up program or the one within the repair program ?
I installed Tweaking Registry Backup. I'm not aware of a repair program.

I just happened to open Event Viewer and found a number of the error below under Windows Log/Application. They seem to happen in two's throughout the day.

The computer appears to be working just fine so I'm not sure what is causing this issue.

Tweaking.com Support & Help / how to automate registry backup
« on: August 23, 2019, 12:30:42 pm »
I installed Tweaking Registry backup for Windows 10, but am not finding how to automate the process at boot-up each day.
I tried putting the Tweaking shortcut in the Start In folder but it just opened the program at start up. Nothing was saved.
How do I automate the program?
Thanks,
BD
