The problem is now fixed. It should work just find with Norton. He has worked with them to get it to work. If you have any problems with it not working just file a bug at the forums. He works quick to get things fixed and is make the program better all the time. Use the program all the time. Love it. Works great as a task manager too. Their great help on the forums over there too just like this site. You should give it a try.

A program I have been using is causing it to not run right. It has worked will with it but now it does not. Bug in the program. The program that causes it to not work right is Process Lasso. I have filed a bug report to get it fixed.

Windows Repair is a slick tool that can check for any changes on your computer and revert them back to the default Windows settings. Some places this could work for you might be any type of error message you receive where something no longer works like it used to. A very common use for Windows Repair is after a malware infection. While there are a lot of tools out there to help remove infection, many times you will have issues left over like a disabled Action Center, firewall, anti-virus or even worse, internet connection. I’ve seen this hundreds of times. By booting into safe mode and running this program it can get these problems solved and everything working again. Occasionally you might have to change back some settings you have modified, but it’s worth it.

The program remains free as it always has been but now offers a Pro version for $19.95. The Pro version allows you to clean junk files, shortcuts to common Control Panel items, get automatic updates, run custom scripts, use your own company logo and has Tweaking.Com’s Simple System Tweaker and CleanMem built in. Since I use Simple System Tweaker on any computer I work on, this makes it worth 20 bucks all day long. You can also use the optional system tray icon to access the aforementioned Control Panel items and one-click clean memory, another feature I am using frequently. The tray icon uses a very small 940K of ram, even after 2 days of running.

Windows Repair continues to add and update features (even in the free version), has no third party software (bundleware), no nags, no usage or time limits this truly is a breath of fresh air.

Version 3.1.5 changes include:

Updated the Pre-Scan tool to better list any missing or corrupt packages files.

Updated "Restore Important Windows Services" and "Repair Winsock & DNS Cache" with the following services DHCP, DNSCache, NTDS, Netlogon, Winsock and Winsock2.

Multiple code updates.

Yes the 64bit is still a nightly build. You can go here if you would like to try it.

Still not fixed but able to use it. I think the 64bit is only nightly right now. There must be something there that stops it when it sees firefox.exe but when renamed will run. It just will not run if a program calls for it to open a link cause it can not find the firefox.exe cause I renamed it. Other then that it seems to run just fine.

I is in C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox. It is the 64bit version. I am running the nightly build. Using it right now. I is mostly working. The things that do not work is cause I renamed the file to get it to run.

Ok I renamed it and it made a new new profile but did not work unless I rename the Firefox.exe file. Then it works just fine.

I tried that the it did the same thing but gave me a error message. It was about the profile not beening there or could not use it.

But why does it work just fine when I rename the file? Is something making it not work?
