Looks fine. In fact compared to most Antiviruses Avast uses the least amount of memory and 32mb of memory is dang good :-)

Looks good. The less processes running the better the system will behave :-)

Hi, Shane but what about the log files . The avast create so many number of log files. If i choose to search the files for today , then the explorer opens and most of the files relate to the log files created by the avast antivirus.
The Bottom line is "Check your hardware first if it supports the task you try".

+1 For Avast, with only 512Mb RAM every MB counts
I have attached a screenshot of my Task Manager  :cheesy: Of course CleanMem and Simple System Tweaker help
I even allow myself the luxury of a little "Eye Candy" and use the Zune theme  :shy:

lol nice.

Cool thing why I like avast it tries to keep its memory under control. Cleanmem Cant touch avast because they protect the process so viruses cant kill it. Sometimes the avast using a bit of memory but when it is done doing what it had to do it cleans up after itself :-)

Hi,  I have a doubt . I am enclosing a part of malware bytes log file, which found 12 risks in my computer. Of course, i was trying to download a free abbyy reader and downloaded the three trojans. But it found about 12 and  i had it quarantined and then removed the files whatever the contents. It mostly in zip files that it found these trojan, packer or PUP , what not.
My question is why avast did nothing on these files. When i downloaded these files, i ran avast on individual zip files for any virus or trojans. But it shows it scanned the zip files and found nothing. There was some unusual behaviour, so when i checked with malware bytes, it found these 12 unwanted programs.
File access settings of avast has been so designed that it catches the virus, when it tries to access the computer. Why not avast? found these in normal scan of viruses
The Bottom line is "Check your hardware first if it supports the task you try".

Most likely false positives. Anything flagged with "Gen" stands for generic and 90% is a false positive.

Hi, Shane, but the false positives have been found only in the crack programs i tried to download. Nowadays , i think that the free programs perform better than the paid ones. I searched for this in malware bytes , and it is a lengthy discussion of using combofix, xmer, tdskiller, etc, etc and the final removal of this false positives in the discussion.
The Bottom line is "Check your hardware first if it supports the task you try".

Most cracks do get flagged as a false postivie. And you will see they are almost always flagged as "GEN". When it is a real virus it wont be "GEN"
