Posted below was my problem with re adding my wireless printer to my computer that was working for 4 months and stopped last night.

Well I just ran the Tweaking.com program and it fixed my problem that I spent most of a day searching and running virus programs.
This problem seem to be out there alot searching on the net and no fix for it.
I would like to know what this program might of fixed for the printer to be back working.

Thanks if anyone replies

I might have a virus I can't tell need help
Running windows ultimate 7 32 byte

*Bluetooth works fine
*Laptop works fine fast not slow
*No other problems I can detect but the printer problem
*Logged in as admin and same thing add printer screen freezes.
*I have a cloned drive and installed and all works so its in windows on my current drive

Problem is i had my HP 8600 pro wireless printer working since last February.
Working from my laptop Dell E6520
As of last night it stopped working. Windows will not see the printer and print from the laptop.
*I deleted the printer and tried to reinstall and this is where the problem become mind boggling.
*I tried to open devices and printers and add a network or wireless printer.
*When the window opens up it just gets hung up freezes and I can't close the window I have to reboot the computer.
*Second problem is I tried to reinstall the 8600 printer with the install disc and that gets hung up also and cant shut down the window.

S0 Its seems to be something with installing the printer and having windows looking for the wireless printer.
I have tried to run every virus program and nothing.
RKILL reports this

Hope to fix this so I can print and not have to do a reinstall.

Is there a way to do a win 7 reinstall without having to loose everything?

thanks for the help to a noob here

So did my Windows repair program get it working for you? If so which repairs did you run?

Also the logs to make it look like there might be an infection. If you havent yet give combofix a go

Hard to tell as sometime things can be linked. Such as a possible permissions problem, or a service problem or like the repair print spooler does it also removes left over files from the spooler folder which can get in the way of new files being installed.

Hard to tell which one might have fixed it, but you can see how other repairs can make a difference

Thats why I always have people make sure to do a registry backup first and run all the repairs. 90% of the repairs are registry related so if there is ever a unintended side effect they can restore the registry to before the repairs.
