CCleaner finds registry problems
« on: October 18, 2015, 03:04:20 am »
I have attached a .pdf file (CC Exclude) that shows 4 persistent font cache errors that I have excluded from scan. I have heard that viruses can embed themselves in fonts and I'm concerned about these. I also have 1 registry key that I have excluded from scans because of persistence, but I can't find any information on it. I suspected that it may be from backups that I leave in a 64 GB USB2 Stick that is not connected when performing CCleaner scans, but thats not it (I tried with and without stick attached). I have attached this one in the second .pdf file that show it's Data Information (attached as BackupLocation). I am hoping that it's not related to my Macrium Reflect Images. Last, but not least, I have attached a file (CCleaner Settings) for anyone to give advise upon. I may have CCleaner set too aggressively. Are these problems familiar to anyone? - Art
Yesterday, upon the stair,
I met a man who wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today,
I wish, I wish he'd go away...
