Settings Missing From Start Menu In Windows 10
« on: July 03, 2016, 12:36:19 pm »

When I click it, the settings option is missing. I can reach settings by using the "Run" tool and typing ms-settings:. I've tried going to Settings > Personalization > Choose which folders appear on start, but "Settings" is in gray and cannot be selected.

Please help.

Only a Refresh from what I've seen on line.

I suppose you could try dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth from a Command Prompt (Admin) and then a sfc /scannow to see if any corruption remains, but from what I've seen on Google, a sfc /scannow always came back clean, but the Dism cmd may sort something.

It can appear to hang at 20% but does complete.

That's okay but other than what I've suggested, I don't know of any other easy fixes and that other article I'd linked even suggested a Reset as a final solution.
