System Cleaners
« on: December 29, 2011, 11:19:24 am »
Hi Shane,

Hope you had a Merry Christmas. Do you recommend any system cleaners at all i.e. Ccleaner, Advamced System Care, and registry cleaners, or do you just stay away from this stuff. I trust your opinion, thats why I'm asking.

Personally I stay away from them.

Cleaning files is easy to do with just the built in system cleaner. And the registry is a dangerous place. One false step and your done.

Now NTREGOPT I have used.

It doesn't remove anything from the reg. It simply rebuilds it. The registry is a database and when you remove a lot of keys the reg grows in size taking longer to read. Even though those keys are gone.

Ran this on my system and my reg file shrank by 115%. Not to shabby.

I have also included this into my new program advanced system tweaker. Which by the way I am looking for a few closed beta testers wink wink lol

I'll give it a shot. When are you planning on releasing it. I'll try the beta.

Going to let it test for a few weeks and after I make any changes based on feedback then I will release it.

I want it to make a good first impression, that's why I am keeping it a closed beta for now :-)

Main Program - Introduction:

The program is a central hub for any kind of tweak, repair, or anything else that can be done via registry files, commands and vbscript files.

The add-ons in the program allow it to grow and handle just about anything. The program has a direct link to search and find the growing list of add-ons.

The program comes with 50+ add-ons already installed.

Using the program is easy. Browse through the installed add-ons and runs the one you want.
