Cannot install Windows Updates

Was successful in downloading and installing
Hot fix for Windows (KB947821) Update 1 of 1    however it still did not correct my problem.

My computer said I had one update that needed to be downloaded and installed that being
Windows Update 7 for x64 based systems (KB2800095)

After it downloaded and attempted to install it said "failure to configure)

When I look at Update History it shows that update as failed

What now -  is there even a solution?

What error code does it give for it now ?

Error Code is 80070490

Boggin:
Can you open a command prompt as an admin and run sfc /scannow to see what that reports.

wmartin:
Forgive me for being un-educated but can you tell me how to do that.
