Windows 7 updating issues
Julian:
what update is that? with the 0x8007090?
C:\windows\logs\cbs delete the cbs.log file
open command prompt run:
sfc /scannow
if it finds corruption that it can't fix
I need you to go to C:\windows\logs\CBS copy the cbs.log and paste to your desktop then upload it so I can view it and see what we need to do next

Yes that will take a while as the windows updates is rebuilding itself from scratch, so the first scan after the repair is long lol
Great to see the updates got installed, I do see an error sometimes after installing a lot, I wouldnt worry about it yet, just reboot and then check for updates again. Sometimes there is an update that makes one of the others not needed or have to wait till the next reboot.

Not so long back following a factory reset I got a 643 and a 66a error and after running the .NET Framework Repair Tool, started the update install again and while they were installing, I ran MS's auto Fix its for both error codes and the updates were successful.

You can run the one for the 66a error code as well if you like as a belt & braces. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2507641
Shane:
The update that failed, is it an update for .net framework?
If so try the .net repair tool from MS, I myself have never had it work, but for some it has, depends on what is broken. Otherwise the best way to fix .net is to completely remove it and install it fresh, which there is a tool for that we can use as well.
