Somehow, Windows Repair All-In-One Has Made Things Worse For Me !

Did you try changing the DNS severs as I've suggested, or are those websites loading okay now ?

I've just done a tracert on facebook.com from a command prompt and that has gone though okay from my location in the UK.
Perhaps you can do the same as you are initially getting a time out.
A tracert can show where there could be a bottleneck.

yeah, they're ok now............i wouldn't know how to change DNS servers.........in fact, i don't even know what that means....... :shy:
