won't boot

<< < (6/9) > >>

Boggin:
If it's running okay then don't run the repair program on it unless you create a system image first as the program has been causing problems for some on Win 10.

It has been blocking the mmc.exe for me so that I was unable to access Services.

Running the program a second time has cleared that error but it has also been partially hanging in Safe Mode after the reboot for some which means some normal services won't start.

Shane is aware of these problems and hopefully he will be able to resolve them soon.

Anyway, as it's getting on for 11.30pm here in the UK, I'm off to roost as it has been a long day.

I had about 7 out 7 boot ok now I think we are ok their.I look in disk management two things stuck out has two differ partition one says Disk0 Partition 3 the other says Disk partition 4 they both are on C .Ran that chkdsk it came back "can not volume for direct access"

Boggin:
I'm not into multiple disk partitions - the only ones I've had were the OEM recovery partition which I've deleted and extended to C:

Can you post a screen shot of your disk management and I'll see if I can get some advice on that as you should be able to perform a chkdsk.

kdent:
sorry having problems with screen shot and I will try that chkdsk and will let you know

Boggin:
Okay - Thanks.

Going back to your other thread, have you been able to get the repair program to boot into Safe Mode as someone else has reported an identical problem.

Can you reply to that in your other thread.
