Windows 7 "works" but can not create folder or rename files

In stopping the repair install I would have been worried that you could have been left with nothing, but glad that has gone smoothly.

Yes, me too.  So, Tom, waht would you suggest I do now.  As I said, I have downloaded the new ISO W7 64b Ultimate to my C drive.

Boggin:
If you can repeat the process of the repair install then go ahead with that.

Don't forget that it is done from within Windows.

Hopefully with a more recent ISO it shouldn't take as long.

Your old Dell disk may not have included SP1.

OK, so this means that I should write the ISO ti DVD disc and go to that disc and run setup.com on that disc?  Or, is there some way to do it directly with the ISO image.
