Sorry to hear about the health problems at the wedding.

I'm surprised that the offboot sfc /scannow didn't resolve any corruption.

Can you run a cmd prompt as an admin and enter chkdsk /r to see if your HDD is okay.

Primarily you are looking to see if it reports any kbs in bad sectors.

If that comes back clean then I think you may need to perform a factory reset after backing up any personal stuff.
