I have tried all the tools I have to restart the service but nothing seems to work. I am not able to get the firewall working without it I am getting an error code 1290 ox50a when I try to start the firewall in services

please help!!!!!!

My repair tool replaces that service, if the service is still missing in the registry then something deleted it.

Run these tools and let me know the results

tdsskiller.exe

and run

Malwarebytes Anti Rootkit

I have run those tools and more....sas, hitman,mbam all malware has been removed and the last thing I did was run the windows repair still no firewall and my security uses the windows firewall. Is there something I can do to replace it if it has been removed?Thanks in advance

Check to see if those services are in the registry. My repair tool would have put them back, let me know if they are not there

thanks!!!! Got it I will send you what it has but the start type was set to 2 so I changed it to 1 and I am rebooted the pc and it still says cannot start the ics service and in services it says "the specified device instance does not correspond to a present device and the path is:
Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS)
should I export it from another xp and try to import it to this one?

required privileges:
SeChangeNotifyPrivilege
SeCreateGlobalPrivilege
SeImpersonatePrivilege
SeLoadDriverPrivilege
SeTakeOwnershipPrivilege
and failure actions both were not on the other xp so I backed up the shared access and deleted those entries..................keeping my fingers crossed. Still will not start but this time it looked like it was trying so I am going to run your repair again.

Post a screen shot of the exact error you get so i can do some research on it
