I think I must have checked it but I don't remember it since it must have been at least six (6) months ago as that was when Tweaking.com - Windows Repair Pro version and CCleaner Pro version both stopped working correctly.

27
Tweaking.com - Windows Repair Pro Version 4.4.0 in Normal Mode with Wi-Fi works now as I had to uncheck the Warn if changing between secure and not secure mode in Advanced in Internet Properties in Internet Options in Control Panel in Windows System in Start Menu in Win 10 64 Bit Home Edition.

Also, this fixed my CCleaner Pro manual update and will probably fix its auto update.

I got this fix from CCleaner Tech Support.

Who would have thunk?

28
I do have the Pro version of Tweaking.com - Windows Repair although I have to use the Free version of Tweaking.com - Windows Repair in Normal Mode with Wi-Fi since my name and key [Pro version] does not work in Normal Mode with Wi-Fi since it is blocked by something and I do not have an Internet connection in Safe Mode with Networking for my name and key [Pro version].

As I said before, If I have time I will get to your solutions but do not hold your breath.

When I ran the netsh wlan show networks cmd, it displayed that there were no wireless networks available in Safe Mode with Networking.

As always, I appreciate all of your help!

29
I ran the cmd without mode=bssid as that what it said to do in an article before you suggested this other way.

I will run the Tweaking.com - Windows Repair Free Version in Normal Mode with Wi-Fi as I know that works if Tweaking.com - Windows Repair Free Version in Safe Mode without Networking (Both Ethernet and Wi-Fi] does not work.

Jim just emailed me as I had a question about my Pro subscription and he said it is not a subscription but it is based upon the Pro version. For example, if I paid for Pro 4.x I will need to pay again at Pro 5.x.

As always, I appreciate all of your help!

In a previous reply in this post, I stated "I did try the netsh wlan show networks in Safe Mode with Networking support but it came back with that there are no Wi-Fi networks available. Will adding mode=bssid get it to work?"

If I have time before my Tweaking.com - Windows Repair Pro Version expires unless a new MS Build fixes my problem, I will try all of your solutions and let you know the outcome via this Post.

Will Tweaking.com - Windows Repair Free Version in Safe Mode without Networking (Both Ethernet and Wi-Fi] work?

Again, I appreciate all of your help!

31
The only way I know how to restart my router is to unplug the AC cord as there is no on/off switch.

I re-installed Tweaking.com - Windows Repair a few times.

I decided to only run Tweaking.com - Windows Repair Free Version in Safe Mode without Networking (Both Ethernet and Wi-Fi] as that is good enough for me.

Please confirm that for me?

I will keep trying the Tweaking.com - Windows Repair Pro Version periodically to see if it eventually works on its own until it expires.

I did not save the links and thus I do not have the links to any of articles about that Win 10 does not support Wi-Fi in Safe Mode with Networking.

Thanks for all your help!

Does your device have a NIC card?

It is my understanding that the next Build after 1803 has not been released as both the October Build 1803 and November Build 1803 Updates are not working on some devices including my PC, according to a MS Knowledgebase Article.

It is my understanding that the November Build 1803 update was supposed to work and also fix the October Build 1803 update but it did not work also on some devices including my PC, according to a MS Knowledgebase Article.

It is my understanding that MS said that Build 1803 should be fixed by the end of November, according to a MS Knowledgebase Article but I am not holding my breath.

As I posted previously, there is a MS Knowledgebase Article that states Wi-Fi is not available in Safe Mode for Windows 10.

As I posted previously, I already turned off my router, no cables were connected and it was for at least 30 minutes.

I need you to verify that I should be able to run Tweaking.com - Windows Repair Free version in Safe Mode without the Pro features on my Win 10 64 Bit Home Edition PC without both a NIC connection and Wi-Fi?

33
I run Tweaking.com - Windows Repair Free version in Normal Mode using Wi-Fi since I cannot get a good NIC connection in Normal Mode and Safe Mode due to intermittent connection problems and Wi-Fi does not work for me in Safe Mode.

I cannot use the Pro features in Tweaking.com - Windows Repair even though I paid for them since something is blocking the name and security key in Normal Mode even though the Wi-Fi is working OK.

In the future, I should be able to run Tweaking.com - Windows Repair Free version in Safe Mode without the Pro features since Safe Mode is recommended which will have to be good enough for me so I will not get the Pro version again and see if I can get a pro-rated refund from Jim if I cannot get the Pro version working in Safe Mode.

At least another user in my other related post had a problem with Tweaking.com - Windows Repair working in Build 1803 and I still think the problem is with Build 1803 that I previously discussed in this post and the October and November Updates to it are not working and MS is supposed to fix it at the end of November but I think I will have to wait for Build 1804 to prove my theory so I will wait on the pro-rated refund until that time as I like the Pro features in Tweaking.com - Windows Repair.

34
I have not tried any of your solutions yet but post it if and when I do.

I plan to talk to Jim about this whole thing for more insights.

I run Tweaking.com - Windows Repair for monthly preventative maintenance on my Win 10 Home Edition 64 Bit PC.

What about using the portable version of Tweaking.com - Windows Repair on a USB Stick in non-Safe Mode with Wi-Fi?

Will Tweaking.com - Windows Repair on a USB Stick still be blocked by something as the Tweaking.com - Windows Repair on the Hard Drive is now?

36
I plan to discuss with Jim of Tech Support to use the portable version of Tweaking.com - Windows Repair on a USB Stick in Safe Mode which seems to be the path of least resistance instead of these other ways.

37
Please follow the info for this post under the post named Using Tweaking.com - Windows Repair in Safe Mode.

38
If I use the NIC, I do get intermittent connectivity problems in normal mode on my Win 10 64 Bit Home PC and that is why I use Wi-Fi now.

Thus, I assume changing the channel will not make a difference and I do not plan to do that but I know how to do it.

Please confirm?

The NIC intermittent connectivity problems started when I upgraded from 25 MB to 50 MB and now it is 100 MB. My Win 10 64 Bit Home PC went out of paid post warranty technical support in October.

HP said it was a Comcast problem and Comcast said it was a HP problem.

I did try the netsh wlan show networks in Safe Mode with Networking support but it came back with that there are no Wi-Fi networks available.

Will adding mode=bssid get it to work?

Restarted Router.

No updates for NIC.

I tried Ctrl+Alt+Delete as specified in the Using Tweaking.com - Windows Repair in Safe Mode post and some other techniques, however,
Win 10 64 Bit Home does not work on a PC in Safe Mode with Networking Support with Wi-Fi per Microsoft Support Knowledgebase.

According to other forums, Wi-Fi does appear to work on a laptop that is only wireless with Win 10 in Safe Mode with Networking Support.

I got my NIC to work with some intermittent loss of connection on my Win 10 64 Bit Home version PC in Safe Mode with Networking Support and several times both entered my Name and Key in Tweaking.com - Windows Repair and restarted the program but they still did not take.

I will ask Jim to help me remote diagnose this issue in the near future and will keep both posts updated: No Response from Support [Jim] for Houston we have a problem since 10/12/2018 and Using Tweaking.com - Windows Repair in Safe Mode.

Thanks for all of the replies so far.

The last time Tweaking.com - Windows Repair did work on my Win 10 64 Bit Home PC in Safe Mode with Networking Support [NIC] was at about six [6] months and I suspect it is related to a conflict with Microsoft Win 10 64 Bit Home OS Version 1803 (OS Build 17134.228) which was installed on 05/17/2018 which I am using.

If I do not get Tweaking.com - Windows Repair working on my Win 10 64 Bit Home version PC in Safe Mode with Networking Support [NIC or Wi-Fi], I will consider loading the portable version of Tweaking.com - Windows Repair on a USB stick and using it that way.

I am planning in the near future to try to get my Tweaking.com - Windows Repair working in Safe Mode using Wi-Fi on my Windows 10 PC as it currently does not work in non-Safe Mode using Wi-Fi on my Windows 10 PC as something might be blocking it. I cannot use an Ethernet Connection as it went haywire when I upgraded my Comcast/Xfinity service to 50 MB. Also, it would be a nightmare to debug Tweaking.com - Windows Repair in non-Safe Mode on my Windows 10 PC and anyway it is better to run Tweaking.com - Windows Repair in Safe Mode on my Windows 10 PC. Jim has contacted me and has been helpful and will help me with remote diagnosis if I need help on getting my Tweaking.com - Windows Repair working in Safe Mode using Wi-Fi on my Windows 10 PC.

I whitelisted Tweaking.com - Windows Repair in my AVs and Firewall as Jim from Support recommended I do and I still get the same "Houston we have a problem" even after I downloaded v4.3.0. I use Windows 10 Home OS on my PC. I have gotten No Response from Support [Jim] for Houston we have a problem since I emailed him [[email protected]] on 10/12/2018 and again on 10/19/2018. Please advise me and notify him as I hope that he is OK I am a Tweaking.com - Windows Repair Pro paying customer. Thanks!

In Re: Re Windows Repair-AIO Program unregisters itself Safe Mode « Reply #3 on: February 02, 2018, 02:36:33 PM » it states "In Safe Mode with Networking while on the desktop press CTRL+ALT+DELETE then click on the WiFi icon then on your SSID and Connect. Left click away to close that pane then click on Cancel where you should see a full WiFi icon and wireless connectivity." Has anyone verified the above? I cannot use an ethernet connection on my PC. On my PC, I use Windows 10 Home OS and Tweaking.com - Windows Repair 2018 v4.3.0.

Does there exist any documentation for the Tweaking.com - Windows Repair Pro program such as a User's Guide / User's Manual including command line switches for Windows 10 Task Scheduler for running the Tweaking.com - Windows Repair Pro program in Safe Mode, if any besides Silent, and, if so, where is it located?

If not, is there any info on command line switches for Windows 10 Task Scheduler for running the Tweaking.com - Windows Repair Pro program  in Safe Mode and, if so, where is it located?
