Reparse Points NOT fixed
« on: September 16, 2015, 02:57:29 am »
I have the version 3.5.1 on my Windows 7 x64 and I have Windows installed on drive C and all the user profiles etc. etc. on drive D. So I used this tool to pre-scan my file system for problems - and there were 31 false Reparse Points. This is a magnificent tool so a HUGE THANK YOU for this but however it could NOT repair my Reparse Points :( No matter how I tried to fix them.

If You need more info on this matter then please mail me (plus post here, of course) to: [email protected].

THANK YOU!! :)

Can you post a screen shot of the scan so I can see which ones it is having trouble with?

Thank You Shane! Here are the screenshots about the procedure and the explanations:

1. First when a clicked SCAN REPARSE POINTS, the outcome is in the first attached screenshot (file 1-).

2. Then I hit REPAIR SELECTED (all). Attached pic named 2-....

3. The after rescanning the reparse points, the outcome is presented ijn the file named 3-... (attached)

Hope this helps!

What I am going to do is in the next update 3.5.2 I am going to add error handling during that repair and have it record when it fails and why it failed. Then that will give me a direction to start on to find out what is going on :-)
