Maybe it wasn't clear in my 5: 52 but when I replied saying that I tried both of them as referring to try resetting the advanced options as well as running without add-ons. Neither had any effect.

Ok, let me know how the new user test does :-)

Just finished trying the new user test and it didn't make any difference either.

OK good, so how are the problems currently? You say that some pages open slowly, what other things happen?
Have you alos tried another browser to compare, like firefox or chrome?
If the same slow pages happen in those then we know it isnt an IE problem

I don't have any other browsers installed at the present time, I have Firefox installing right now. The problem still remains the same. For example it took this page about 11 seconds to open once I click the link in Outlook. I checked my Internet speeds and ping is 39ms download speed is 15.7 Mb and upload is 1.9 Mb which is very consistent with what I've been seeing for a long time.
Okay, I now have Firefox running in it appears to be considerably faster than IE so it looks like the problem is confined to Internet Explorer 11. Unfortunately I'm so used to using that I really don't want to change anything else.
