I tried to do it once, but failed. I will try to do it again asap, and will inform you of the results.

EDIT: Just tried it again, and it still failed, with the same errors.

I was able to replace the files, but the windows update failed on both occasions.

Willy2:
- When I look at the "problem files" then I see that these are not for the one or the other update but it seems that these files are needed by (the) Windows Update (Agent) itself.

- Perhaps the appropriate files are stored in a "C:\Windows\Winsxs\" subfolder ?

(Use the program "Everything" (voidtools) to find out where the missing files are located)

When i research that error it normally points to something deep broken, so deep that windows updates calls it a unknown error.

Can you grab the cbs.log file so I can see if it gives any info of what might be wrong?
