Hi, bring your laptop to a public or friends place and see if it can login to internet. Thank you!

Your Internet Service Provider had a look yet? (LOL)

After you re-installed the new network card; did you RUN TCPoptimizer again so it can configure the new Network card?
Note: BTW, learn how to set up the TCPoptimizer customs settings based on your network speed ok! It will help to solve more problems! I have it set to open 16 connections…

Try from run command; type ncpa.cpl
what is the status of the connection, is there a red X ?
choose right click for options.
open the properties and Check to see that the IPv6 and IPv4 are enabled.

# Note: Some users have there systems setup to not use the internet; Government employees for example.

To confirm reset; open a cmd prompt in administrator;
Type;     one command at a time and hit enter

 netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
 netsh winsock reset catalog
 netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log
 netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log

in the command prompt. it will take a minute to complete. then a reboot is required.

if still failed;

type:

ipconfig /all
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew "local area connection"

A reboot is not required

if further problems occur;
ipconfig /all
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns

This will be my last entry in this post; confirm each TCPIP default key parameters...

Here is something to consider giving a try; it works in offline mode :) "I am not suggesting to downlaod this version from this website, I am suggesting to read the material they provide to see if it fits you trying this method, "which I would try"; if so, I would search and download the program from a MSFT server and then have a try     http://www.ihaveapc.com/2012/04/how-to-fix-windows-troubles-on-the-go-with-microsoft-fixit-portable/

You can use the Manual Reset Method found here; NOTE, it says XP, but it is good for all windows operating systems!
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299357 (just click the area "let me fix it") you should be good to go!

Search this key in the registry:
HKLM\system\currentcontrol set\ ser vices\ tcpip6 parameters\
in the right side, is there a key that says disabled?
to re-enable IPv4 and IPv6, change it to; 0
it is better to remove the key altogether!
but, be warned... back up the key in case...
but all it does is prevent access to internet.
(MSFT, further evaluation is required to see what service it points to that actually stops this malware service)

For now, let do some general maintenance;

Disconnect the network cables first!
Disable remote connection features!

Lets do reset the firewall settings first, how about?

Right click on the network icon in the right hand corner on the desktop screen;
Click on diagnose and repair feature. Be sure log the error message here!

Right click on the network icon in the right hand corner on the desktop screen;
click on network and sharing;
lower left hand corner;
click on firewall;
then click on change settings;
tick the checkbox block all incoming;
click the advanced tab;
lower right hand corner, click restore default settings

Lets confirm a clean network system by resetting all the modems and the routers by using the reset button on each device;
Be sure to hold down the reset button for at least .20 seconds on each device while it is unplugged with no wires attached!

Then reconfigure them, PLEASE DO THIS OK!
Change the password on the router;
Changed passwords for each wireless connection, be sure to reconnect with the right passwords;
Take a look at network connections;
Are any adapters disabled? If disabled; should solved your problem by enabling them

If there enabled, continue reading;
Right click on the network icon in the right hand corner on the desktop screen;
Click network and sharing;
click manage network connections;
right click each adapter, check that each service is installed; I would, uninstall them and reinstall them at this point. I would do this to clean up the registry adapters settings. Go to device manager, uninstall any network devices including the software…
Then, I would restart the machine. Do not use the check new hardware feature here, let us be sure that the PNP feature is working correctly here too…

Check to be sure your network is setup to private...

Your TCPIP.SYS file might be corrupt, doing a SFC /TCPIP.SYS on this file will help to determine that

What is the results?

727
Installing some new versions of software only allow the software to be seen and used by the current user, when you lo back in as the administrator; they do not appear.

please fix this security FLAW

TIA

729
I remember some issues;

One Try install the latest realtek soundrivers, please google it ok. little busy to search the website now.
they usually solved the problems their
http://www.realtek.com.tw/faqs/faqsView.aspx?Langid=1&PFid=6&Level=3

I still can see that it can only be a registry key that is giving you the real trouble in this case.
services.msc  stop and start the service check that all audio are started, some systems have HD seperaterly listed
start that too

Unfortunately, I never researched the audio registry keys; I always used realtek drivers...
I agree, lets not re-install Windows, lets just find what registry key is disabled, have you had a search here?

search google; how to disable my sound device, look for websites that refer to the registry "use the term "disable", that is your problem now, if you say "fix", nothing will happen!

???????????????????????????????????????????????
http://www.wikihow.com/Disable-Onboard-Sound
http://kb.esi-audio.com/?goto=KB00040EN

http://computerstepbystep.com/download.html
maybe download this program, see if it is useful tool.

Another website suggests too;
Goto
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\MMDevices\
right click on "MMDevices" select permissions, click add then click advance and then click on "Find Now" then you'll have the list select "Everyone" click OK twice and select Everyone at Groups or usernames box and be sure to select Full Control and Read means both are ticked...

then do this again for this HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\MMDevices\Audio\Render

????????????????????????????????
Has your registry key been deleted?

Does your sound device show up?

Hope you get this; I will test it later myself
http://emcosoftware.com/network-software-scanner

???????????????????????????????????????
Is the sound volume have a red stop over it,
it the sound turned all the way down in another device? "for example online movies"

????????????????????????????????????????
has someone decided your too loud?
is your system setup to accept remote commands?
has someone done this too you?
HKLM\SYSTEM\currentcontrolset\services\audiosrv /v start /t
REG_DWord /d 4 /f

the program code is here
www.nirsoft.net/utils/nircmd.zip

WARNING: if you delete the sndvol32.exe, you will not be able to re-activate it!
????????????????????????????????????????

Search, re-install or reset     sndvol32.exe
www.file.net/process/sndvol32.exe.html

run the free tool to check the sound

this will be the last entry;

Could you post the code your referencing? I would like to see it...

yes, please do a hard drive test first!

CHKDSK / F
or
CHKDSK /X /F

Search google, how to disable services.msc in registry, it will tell you where to look and check to see if it is in fact disabled...

Probably would not hurt;
SFC /scannow
if SFC Scannow does not work, then it is a problem with a trojan. I used
the kaspersky TDS Killer to remove. "do not use unless you have a problem"

733
for reference, it would be helpful to know what was installed during those periods. I'm sure we wont be installing them and checking them one by one, but maybe someone can check into them more or perhaps do some comparison to cleanup programs that are downloading and installing problems to our systems causing these nightmares.

Someone should be keeping a log!

Shane; for reference, is there a program that will explain all the registry changes any particular program will make before I install my program?
seems you should have this feature on your website!

then, your website be more valuable service if it could analyze the program is safe or malicious before installed... sure, there is some websites to check for viruses, but one file at a time :( the whole program is what is needed here!

734
Michael, that is quite impossible, that is where the root of the problem is;

if any references too other operating systems, open the registry and compare!

Is your sound card compatible with your system?

tell me, who is the mfr? the model number etc, what system your try to install on;
please tell us/me the windows edition;
if PCI, try a different slot too or swap one of your other pci cards...
is legacy support enebled in bios?

are you also having trouble with Volume shadow copy service is not working?
yes, no or I do not know...
please check it, there is some cases where they are related

How did a reinstall cost you $9000!

Even for my customers I charge $75 an hour, who know how long that would take to get a bill up to $9,000?

But I want you too know, this GUY who gives such advice to do a clean install should offer to pay for what we can not replace..

Your not talking about me are you?

Shane

Shane,

I think, I rememeber clearly saying that;
The service I used to get information, an online service provider, charges 9,000 for their data.
data has nothing to do with an operating system re-install unless you need that data back for your business...

We all need work for life... including me! you hiring?

There are too many windows operating systems, they are all too in-efficient and corrupt with spyware, malware, viruses, spy technology, and you name it to prevent anyone from doing any real business except the repairman. "No Pun intended".

China has chosen to stick with the XP version and probably for a good reason, they have a billion people to keep happy...
MSFT would do well to consider that we do not need another operating system! we need ways to make money with what we have!
and not have to make programs to fix pictures for example, yes, I will find a program to fix that too for free...

I also disrespect MSFT for ditching Hotmail and forcing people to use Skype, it will be the biggest bad move in the history of MSFT...
No need tell the whole story!

I can claim that I believe infections are caused for a reason; to create ransom demands, regardless of what they appear to really look like.... we would all do well to realize that!

My system was working fine, then I suspected a virus, removed my hard drive to scan used rising anti virus on another computer, but it deleted my restore points.. sit man if the dreaded black screen didn't appear... no anti virus should delete restore points! no matter infected or not, they should be able to be cleaned period, if they can not clean, then that service is creating more problems than it is fixing!

Nothing is perfect... but it dont have to be torched either so maliciously!

I find, that you site, has a lot of good points, but I do not find that your site lets users aware that their are many siytes that literlaly cause the very problems your fix it program is designed to fix...

If I were you, I would post a link of every website that I can find that removes features and devices of any system!
let your listeners know... they will appreciate your fixes more... that a fact~!

Also, for the main reasdon I had come here was to seek help in fixing whjy the date was not working all of a sudden, I had found a link where that guy had similar trouble too... he eventually did a clean install too... But I actually found the code and posted it here for you to make a fix...

And, if you hiring, im listening!

736
Hi,

Something caused all the xternal frives to read raw...

it was either minitool or xxcopy...

I am tired of these ransomware programs!

Already fixed by clicking the start menu;
then the computer management snapin;
then click on disk management;
 and used that feature,
 dont want say more here because people are likely to mess up their NTFS system. if they do, they  won't be happy!

Hi, Try this link and see the video solution. It is simple
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6D-M9Uc1AA
If the above does not work, then try what I did. Boot off your Windows install disc, go to repair, & get to the command prompt. navigate to C:\windows\system32 and then rename utilman.exe to utilman.old

After that, rename cmd.exe to utilman.exe

Now, boot into Windows, and at your Black screen with the cursor now use the Key Combo [Windows Key] + and instead of bringing up the Accessibility Options, you'll get your command prompt. I hope this helps
Another try at MBR fix
To fix your mbr, boot from your windows 7 dvd, choose your language, time and keyboard input.
Click "repair computer"
Choose "command prompt"
Type: "bootsect /nt60 ALL" (without quotes )

Reboot

Edit: hit "del" to enter your bios to set your dvd as primary boot

jraju

J, do you know. I took the root to re-install...

But I want you too know, this GUY who gives such advice to do a clean install should offer to pay for what we can not replace..

one service I had cost me $9,000 in 2012, as it expired, I no longer have access to the records I downloaded

You are probably right, but I do not know, I am not their... I am just a rookie

There are several websites that provide registry edits to prevent the use of devices.
I have posted some here in other posts; your welcome search through my posts to find them.

Some are very malicious actually!

you could believe it or not riply, search; how to disable the sound card from the registry!

have you disabled and unistalled in device manager any HDMI/HD sound drivers?
windows services.msc "windows audio enabled?

When I searched, there is only about 10 million resources;

reource this issue?
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\AudioSrv
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\wdmaud

Checked the dreaded group policies?

But, you might look at;
http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/jan01/articles/pcnotes.htm

http://www.windowsbbs.com/pc-hardware/590-disable-onboard-sound-bios-os-win-xp.html

are you also having trouble with Volume shadow copy service is not working ?

740
Do you have the sound software?

Can you check the Identification in the device manager? research the actual device mfr?

Restart in safe mode and try a re-install

References:
It appears that the Windows is trying to load the generic drivers for the sound. I suggest that you install the drivers for the sound using the CD that you would have received with the sound device or login to the manufacturer’s website and then download the exact drivers and download the same.

Try a re-install...

741
Hi,

Step one;
Unistall from device manager, be sure check the box that says software too.. then, it a good idea to simply restart the machine..

Step two;
Did you check to be sure you have the latest drives and software from the mfrs website?

failing that, there are other choices...

742
WARNING TO HACKERS; this recovery method is for personal use only to recover from a Windows System Crash needing to re-install, any other intention is a Crime both Domestically and Internationally... Companies’ using this recovery method to gain control or an advantage through corporate spying is also a Crime punishable for up to 20 years in jail!

Let me tell you a story, Arson or theft or stealing personal information is a Crime; whether it on my home or on my Laptop!

One big PROBLEM MSFT has caused is eliminating hotmail support with Outlook... In addition, why we cannot add them as .PST files in our Outlook email in the first place if there our emails…
Not that it ever was; I do not fell that our privacy is protected using the new online outlook email setup except to catch spammers; has outlook connector become useless?
We will have to check it out "AGAIN"

Now, back to recovering your/my System without the need for ransom ware;

I find myself once again copying the Outlook folder again after re-installing the system yet again for the fifth time in five years; it getting old! This time, we have a different method…

Simply copying the directory structure does not replace the old hotmail accounts in the Folders; WHY NOT, all that business mail GONE. No, it still their... We will figure that out later.

For Starters, after a clean install: Searching my index crashed my computer; need to fix that first.

Restarted in safe mode; I do this operation in safe mode as it works ten X faster!

Step one; on your desktop, make a folder named PSTREVIEW

Step two, search ".PST" & ".NK2" files in your user account folders on the crashed drive", if more than one appears in different user ID, copy each user ID in a separate folder in the PSTREVIEW and name each USER ID separately… “Match or copy the User ID exactly, do not mix up or copy them all to one folder”

Step three: MS-Office already installed; whichever version you are using - it will ask you to setup an Email Account when you open outlook, (please click NO HERE)
 * If you already set up an account, go to the folder and rename all the .PST files as .NIS

Then open Outlook, as it does not find any accounts, it will ask you where the file is, point it to the desktop folder you where you copied and named the PSTREVIEW folder too. You should try each file one by one till you see the latest emails you recognize. Keep in mind, after you make the file active, Outlook closes briefly; simply restart it to see the emails to see if it is your last used folder. “Hurray”,

* If your file is older than 2 months that you copied to the PSTREVIEW Folder, you can be sure that .PST files we/you am looking for to recover are too old to considerer reviewing as a recovery method here.     Opening each file will enable us/me to understand what I need to keep or discard. If their old; I renamed them .BAK or .OLD "the reason is, if we/you run any .PST programs later to fix the .PST file system, .PST searches all files; they will not search and waste your time try to fix an old .PST file saving literally hours of your time.

Then Copy the last ".PST" you will use and rename it "OUTLOOK.PST" "Why do this?" as we/you just re-installed outlook, if there is an outlook .PST file now, it is useless for our purpose, but not useless as the registry is already setup properly to use this new OUTLOOK.PST file! "The clean install is what is important to remember here! Hence, renaming our .PST file outlook will restore the last good outlook email system in a clean operating system and you will be up and running...

(Next is to check the contacts automated file while editing messages which uses the ".Nk2")
To get back the automated indexes while typing the email address or names in the send to; do the following;

How to do it easily; (be sure to do while Outlook was not running for that user)

http://community.spiceworks.com/how_to/show/49-restore-nk2-file-to-show-email-addresses-in-autocomplete-in-outlook

Go to the C:\Users\your user account ID\AppData\Roaming\Misrosoft\Outlook\
I then Ren *.NK2 file to *.Old

Ren MYUSERID.NK2 to MYUSER.OLD

Go to the "PSTREVIEW folder on your desktop" * Important; only copy the "YOURUSEID.Nk2" files of your user ID only to the; %APPDATA%\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook\

The copied User ID;
Copy MYUSERID.NK2 to OUTLOOK.NK2 (or whatever your user ID is)
* We name it outlook because outlook is the current profile name, you can change it later when you create your old profile, and you would do this if you have old backups that you need to work with for that profile!

Go back to the PSTREVIEW Outlook folder and copy (youruserID.NK2 to outlook.NK2) or drag and drop the file using explorer.
C:\Users\your user account ID\AppData\Roaming\Misrosoft\Outlook\myuserid.nk2

* Only copy this file to the roaming folder; then rename the copied file to the current user id outlook.NK2

I then reopened Outlook, which recreated the automated file structure: "thank you MSFT for this feature"

You can then sent a message from the users email account, and then tried another one, to verify the email address saved. The “Auto-complete” remembered the recipients

Other files to consider copying and renaming;

***** I only have done the .NK2 file
***** I am not aware yet what the .SRS file is

Profilename.FAV
Profilename.NK2
Profilename.srs

***** We will check the contacts next;

I do not use the calendar in Outlook; No reference will be provided.

Well after we rebuild this time, we need to point the email system to a directory on the main drive. This will eliminate these long steps next time that takes about several hours especially, if we have been using this email system for 2-3 years or longer as many people use more than profile. One profile might be for personal while another one for business.

WARNING USING THIS NEXT FEATURE: There is a MSFT OUTLOOK BUG, when you restore your computer to an earlier time, it restores the old path in Outlook too; I hav ereported this bug to MSFT already
You will have to do over the above, re-add your user email accounts, AGAIN!

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/883401?wa=wsignin1.0
Example; C:\Mail\Outlook\Outlook.pst or whatever profile you use. this will stop the ransom ware nonsense...

That TCP optimizer :)

Searched Google, no references to the error. let me have a look further...

Did you take a look at the links I provided, they show you whre to look for registry problems related too services that are disabled?

Well, seems have a couple choices; (TRY THIS FIRST OK)

Please run a netdiag and see if you have a winsock corruption.
This KB should help you: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811259/en-us

netsh winsock reset
netsh ip reset

check the host file first
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929852/en-us
"I would not run the fixiot for me programs"

744
could you try this? forget the fact it says for XP, get inside ok

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308577

745
Does it happen when your logged in as Adm?

746
Shane, how about, export that part of the reg-code from a clean system; let him compare it and or merge it?

Dude, how about try TCP optimizer to see if it repairs that first ? search Google ok

Also, their is a website with reg-code that disables many features, this may be the culprit too, see below...

Step one; I don't know what you did, or didn't do. if I am in your shoes. I would unistall all the network adapters from the device manager and BE sure to check the software checkbox too to make sure the sofware unistalls too.

then restart my system and see what happens, failing that... you will need to research every possibility from the following and make corrections that apply to you! "group policy settings are difficult to figure out"

Some Examples: research the pages before making any changes!

http://www.registry-files.com/Windows/Security
http://www.antalyatasarim.com/registry/sources/category-31.htm
http://www.antalyatasarim.com/registry/sources/detail-399.htm
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

References for future use;
http://commandwindows.com/reg.htm

I dont know the registry TCP/IP registry keys, so I can not say delete them before restarting. But I would ask shane before rebooting

...

747
BE WARNED~!

Dear Anonomous online data subscribers, if your system crashes. you will lose all your DATA and they won't help you get it back...

Chain store Guide is such an organization...

There service is reasonable, expensive!

It is better to buy their directories than listen to their ransom demands because they can not keep measly .txt files as backups on their system for users!
