I've had another email from Shane who told me that his breathing is okay and that he doesn't have a fever, although he's feeling crap - for want of a better word.

Hopefully it won't be too long before he's fully recovered.

2
I've had a reply from Shane but it isn't good news.

He's informed me that he is very ill with covid.

I'm sure we all wish him a speedy recovery but any WR queries will go unanswered unless I can address them.

I couldn't get the ManageACL file to open and the other two didn't tell me anything.

4
I've just rebooted my other Win 10 machine and there was a delay before the icon appeared, but only for a couple of minutes at the most.

Perhaps it is normal ?

5
It could be delayed by other auto start up programs.

Open Task Manager/Startup and check to see how many you have enabled and what you can disable and leave enabled.

Mine are set at a minimum.

I'll check to see how long it takes for mine to appear the next time I boot up, but it always seems to be there.

I haven't had a reply back on this or another query email I sent to Shane.

7
Yes, it appears when the machine boots up.

It isn't convenient for me to reboot just yet but I've attached a pic of my Task Scheduler -

I've also complained about not getting replies to my emails.

9
I can't find it in mine as it displays in your Task Scheduler but why did you uninstall ccleaner ?

I was checking mine in Task Manager and it was showing 0% CPU usage which increased slightly when I clicked on the icon.

It vanished completely when I clicked on exit to close it and I had to open WR for it to reappear.

It's never done that before.

10
Have you tried reinstalling the program afresh ?

Whenever I get a WR update the WR duplicates in the taskbar but is removed when I click on it.

11
I've emailed Shane about a recent new member also from Italy.

I've suggested he email him to see if he has the same problem on his machine.

I'm waiting for a reply.

Unlocked topic.

As you can see in the first link, jpm said they were normal and can be ignored.

jpm is an admin of the forum.

Have you had a recent Windows Update that may not have installed correctly ?

Can you go into Device Manager to check for yellow alerts against any of the devices ?

Can you open a Powershell (Admin) and enter these cmds -

dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

sfc /scannow

exit (to close command window)

Let me know if the sfc /scannow finds any files to repair.

Try Windows Repair again.

BTW - The spam report was dated for today at 18.39.

15
Do you mean the entry is invalid ?

That denotes there is a Windows Update available.

Check for updates and when it has installed, try Windows Repair again.

I hope this is a genuine query as I've identified you as a Spammer.

It could be that you have picked up adware and a scan with AdwCleaner will find and remove such items as you have found.

Yes, I've mentioned it to Shane but it seemed to have gone unaddressed.

I'll send him another email about it.

18
I emailed Shane on the 9th and he thinks as he's working in English, that may be why he's unable to replicate it.

I've suggested he contact a recent new member from France to check this on their machine but as yet, not had any further contact from Shane.

I've complained about it as well but didn't get a response.

As I've said, I just accept it and check the forum for newer posts.

You may have to do the same.

Nice to see you back Julian, however brief :)

21
Shane told me he would be out of town between the 2nd and the 7th so you will have to wait for him to get back on this.

I'll email him on the 9th if I haven't had anything back by then.

Send an email to jpm (Jim) at support@tweaking.com to see if you can get a direct reply.

Jim is also very busy so you may have to wait for a reply.

24
Shane has found that he needs to do some more investigative work on this before he can produce an update to the program.
