The online help section for Advanced System Tweaker will grow over time based on questions asked by users.

Currently here is a video (Best viewed at full screen) showing how to use the program. This is perfect for the first time users :-)

Video Of the Program Thanks to MajorGeeks.com

Main Program - Introduction:

The program is a central hub for any kind of tweak or anything else that can be done via registry files, commands and vbscript files.

The add-ons in the program allow it to grow and handle just about anything. The program has a direct link to search and find the growing list of add-ons.

The program comes with 37+ add-ons already installed.

Using the program is easy. Browse through the installed add-ons and runs the one you want.

Main Program - Layout:

The program has many features. In this section I will go over the layout and sections.

(File Menu)

Backup Registry, Restore Registry & Optimize Registry - These open and use ERUNT. It is always a good idea to backup your registry before doing any changes to your system. More information on ERUNT can be found here http://www.larshederer.homepage.t-online.de/erunt/

Open/Create System Restore Point - This will open the built in Windows System Restore where you can make a new restore point or restore one. Again always good to have a backup!

Save Detailed System Information - This will open Tweaking.com - System Information program. With this tool you can save detailed information about your system to a text file. Very handy when you need to get your system information to someone.

Open Add-ons Creator - This opens the add-ons creator for the program. More information on this is furtherer on this page.

Exit & Close Program - Just as it says. Closes the program.

(Programs Menu)

This menu is a list of built in windows programs.

(Favorites Menu)

This menu is where you can access the add-ons that you have added to the favorites menu.

Simple right click on an add-on in the list to have the option to add it to your favorites.

Here you can edit you favorites. Such as removing or sorting them.

(Help Menu)

Under the help menu you can view the online help (What you are viewing now)

Get more add-ons for the program or visit the forums for support.

Add-ons - Introduction:

The program is add-on based. Which means by adding add-ons the program can do even more. Also allowing you to have a set of add-ons you use the most. Such as cleaning your system after an infection or fine tuning a users system. Very ideal for my fellow techs :-)

Add-ons - How to add/remove add-ons:

Installing add-ons in the advanced system tweaker is very easy and straight forward.

In the program directory is an add-ons folder. The program loads all add-ons in this folder and by the folder tree they are under.

Example: the file tree under the add-ons folder "\Tweaks\Services\Remote Registry.tweak" will show up in the program like:

Tweaks
---Services
------Remote Registry

By doing this allows users to freely change the order and location of the add-ons (.tweak files).

Removing a add-on is as simple as deleting the .tweak file you want to remove.

For custom add-ons check for the authors instructions if they have any.

If you have any trouble simple post in the forum for help.
