Register System Files - Registers all DLL and OCX files from the System32, SysWOW64, and other system folders after corruption or file replacements, so your PC can run programs without errors.
Remove Bogus Policies Set by Malware - Remove most of the policies set by malware and viruses. Such as disabling the task manager, hiding the desktop, hijacking programs, or blocking your antivirus.
Remove Temp Files - Keep your hard drive clean and free-up space by deleting unnecessary Windows temporary files that build up over time.
Repair .lnk (Shortcuts) File Association - Viruses and other system errors can replace the file extension associations for shortcuts, resulting in all shortcuts having a .lnk extension. Run this tweak to restore the correct extensions.
Repair CD/DVD Missing/Not Working - Solves the problem of unrecognized CD or DVD drives on Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 8, by updating the drivers or completely reinstalling the drive from scratch.
Repair Hosts File - This will restore the windows hosts file back to default. Some viruses and infections will add sites to the hosts file to keep you from going to those sites.
Repair Icons - When the Windows icon database is corrupted, it can display blank or jumbled icons. This tweak restores all the original icons. Note: This may also overwrite manual changes to icons.
Repair Internet Explorer - Getting a blank homepage, strange settings, or other IE errors, repair Internet Explorer to its original state.
Repair MDAC & MS Jet - Repair all problems relating to database platforms MDAC and Microsoft Jet, so programs that require these databases run without errors.
Repair MSI (Windows Installer) - This will try to repair the Windows Installer (MSI).
Repair Print Spooler - Resets your printer by replacing the spooler service reg keys and run the following commands: net stop spooler, del /F /Q %systemroot%\System32\spool\PRINTERS\*, and net start spooler.
Repair Proxy Settings - Many infections will set your proxy settings to keep you from getting to websites. Repair Proxy Settings will turn the proxy off in the system.
Repair Volume Shadow Copy Service - Unable to create backup copies or snapshots of computer files or volumes using Shadow Copy? Tweaking resets or repairs the Windows service to bring Shadow Copying back to life.
Repair Windows Firewall - The firewall is built into the system rather deep. And when the firewall becomes corrupt, it can still block outside connections from coming in even when turned off.
Repair Windows Safe Mode - Replaces damaged registry keys caused by viruses that prevent Windows booting in Safe Mode.
Repair Windows Sidebar/Gadgets - Fix the built-in Windows widget platform called Gadgets, so the sidebar expands and any missing or failing gadgets load as expected.
Repair Windows Snipping Tool - Fixes the Windows Snipping Tool when it fails to take screenshots and snips.
Repair Windows Updates - Repair Windows Updates will reset windows updates and get all the Windows Update files registered.
Repair Winsock & DNS Cache - Flush and rebuild the Windows Winsock and DNS cache if websites are failing to load due to DNS errors.
Repair WMI - Repair WMI will repair WMI on the system. WMI is used by many Windows services and 3rd party programs. When WMI becomes corrupt, these services and programs will fail. Windows Firewall and also the Windows Action Center are just a few examples of Windows services & programs that use WMI.
Reset File Permissions - Incorrect file permissions can prevent user access or stop files, programs, and updates from functioning. Restore the correct file permissions to get Windows running smoothly again.
Reset Registry Permissions - Reset Registry Permissions will change the owner of the reg keys to Administrators and give admins & system full control. This will not remove any current permissions, it only adds to them.
Restore Important Windows Services - Windows Services run in the background and are vital for system tasks, programs, and hardware to run correctly. E.g., when the MPSSV service fails, Windows Firewall cannot protect your PC.
Set Windows Services To Default Startup - Set Windows Services To Default Startup will set the Windows services to their default startup state. This will set the services startup by the "sc config" command and not by the registry.
Unhide Non-System Files - Sophisticated viruses make use of the Windows hidden files feature to hide in the background or make your files disappear. Run this tweak to make them visible again, while keeping important system files hidden as Windows intended.
