Feedback & Suggestions / Re: webroot flags tweaking.com
« on: January 21, 2017, 06:46:10 pm »
what irritates me is since webroot detected wr as a gen false positive they still save it on their database as previous carrying malware on the website. which is not true it was a damn false positive so in my opinion they are ruining the integrity of the website by posting that.

« on: January 20, 2017, 02:51:39 am »
are you using netplwiz to auto login on your pc? if so i've noticed so many bugs on windows 10 with that... in fact after you login i want you to check hit winkey+r type in netplwiz make sure there is a check mark on users must enter a password to use this computer after that hit apply reboot and see what happens.

Shane responded back it looks like a minor bug and it looks like your repair still succeeded because it did take 6 minutes.
Shane will fix that bug in the next version. Thanks for posting about it and helping out

okay hmmmm alright for now im going to wait for a reply from Shane see what he says.  :artist: i'm stumped at the moment and it could be something in the code which only shane has access to lol could be calling windows 10 home wrong.

87
which repair is doing it is the question. im going to test this on my machine i can see how annoying something like that can be.

hmmm okay so you can't update to 10 via windows update anymore you would have to do a upgrade install via a usb because that will have a osgather.exe for it to create a genuineticket.xml this should be the website to download the iso directly from Microsoft with out having to download the update tool. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO/

you know that all these repairs are 95 percent registry related so if you go to the backup tool and reload the registry to before the repairs it will save you so much time then using a complete backup.

90
i've noticed that sometimes not all the repairs work on the first go and running the repairs twice on some systems fixes the issue.

91
alrighty so nothing i can see starting up that is to heavy on resources have you tried running the repairs 2 times?

you are running on a server? the repairs are not tested or designed to run on servers.
can you open cmd and type this in for me so i can see what it is saying.
Code: [Select]
wmic OS get Caption,CSDVersion,OSArchitecture,Version

93
alright lets see what you have starting up. so first off go ahead and open up power shell with admin privileges copy and paste this in power shell its going to out put everything that starts up on your computer

(remember this needs to be run as an admin in power shell not Command prompt.)

Code: [Select]
Get-CimInstance Win32_StartupCommand | Select-Object Name, command, Location, User | Format-List
After you get the list to generate go ahead and highlight it press ctrl-c to copy it and paste it on this post so i can see whats slowing you down on start up.

do you have an intel based motherboard if so re download the drivers for your chipset from intel's website
and have you tried repairing your catroot2 folder?
Code: [Select]
net stop cryptsvc
esentutl /p %systemroot%\System32\catroot2\{F750E6C3-38EE-11D1-85E5-00C04FC295EE}\catdb
rmdir /s /q %systemroot%\system32\catroot2.old
md %systemroot%\system32\catroot2.old
xcopy %systemroot%\system32\catroot2 %systemroot%\system32\catroot2.old /s
del /f /q %systemroot%\system32\catroot2\*.*
